WELCOME TO OUR FORUMS

Mission: Our forums offer an opportunity for people with spinal cord injuries, their family members, friends and professionals in the field to exchange ideas and information, share their  experiences and get a variety of answers to common questions.

General Forum Rules: All posts reflect the views of the author. FacingDisability.com is not responsible for the content of any messages or information posted.  Any and all advice they offer is based on the writer's own life and experiences and should not be viewed as professional advice of any sort. By registering at this forum, you are agreeing to be held responsible for the information you add to the forum and affirming that you accept and understand the forum rules.

Our staff will monitor and remove objectionable content in the forum; however, it is not possible for us to review all posts thoroughly.  If you find an objectionable post, please report it to info@facingdisability.com. We reserve the right to edit posts and/or take other action in accordance with the purpose and principles of FacingDisability.com. Derogatory remarks are not allowed. Advertising a product or service is not allowed.

Registration: Registration is free.  You must register with a valid email address, only one account is allowed per person. This website does not sell, rent, or trade user information, and strives to ensure that users' data is kept private and confidential. For more information, see our Privacy Statement.

Posting and Readability Guidelines: Please use clear English with standard punctuation and capitalization in your posts.  Long run-on sentences with no breaks and no paragraphs are hard to read, and often get ignored. The same goes for extremely long posts; reading them tires people out.

Since not everyone is familiar with them, avoid the use of "txt msg" abbreviations. Also avoid typing in all caps or all bold or in colors--this is the equivalent of yelling on a forum! But feel free to use emoticons and other symbols to indicate tone.

Don't "hijack" forum threads.  Keep your posts on-topic, in keeping with the current line of conversation.  If you'd like to discuss a different issue or raise a new question, it's best to start a new thread.

Read all the posts in the thread before adding your own post.  That helps avoid repeating points that have already been made, and keeps the conversation fresh and interesting.

I understand, please take me to the forums.
